The Museum of Modern Art announced on Friday that it would offer a presentation on Sunday afternoon, in conjunction with conservators from the American Institute for Conservation Collections Emergency Response Team, on the subject of conserving art works damaged by flooding. The eventâ"to be held at the museum form noon to 2:00 P.M.â"is intended, according to a press release, âto be of special help to the many artists and galleries whose works were affected by Hurricane Sandy.â
The museum has also posted a document on its Web site, moma.org, with guidelines for dealing with art and artifacts damaged by flooding.
