Museum of Modern Art to Offer Presentation on Conserving Flood-Damaged Artworks

The Museum of Modern Art announced on Friday that it would offer a presentation on Sunday afternoon, in conjunction with conservators from the American Institute for Conservation Collections Emergency Response Team, on the subject of conserving art works damaged by flooding. The eventâ€"to be held at the museum form noon to 2:00 P.M.â€"is intended, according to a press release, “to be of special help to the many artists and galleries whose works were affected by Hurricane Sandy.”

The museum has also posted a document on its Web site, moma.org, with guidelines for dealing with art and artifacts damaged by flooding.
