\'Talley\'s Folly\' Revival To Round Out Roundabout Season

By SCOTT HELLER

A revival of Lanford Wilson's two-character romance “Talley's Folly” will be part of the Roundabout Theater Company's 2012-13 season, the theater announced on Wednesday.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning play, which ran for 286 performances on Broadway in 1980, will be staged at the Roundabout's Laura Pels Theater, one of its Off Broadway spaces. Performances will begin on February 8, 2013 and run until March 5.

Michael Wilson (“Gore Vidal's The Best Man”) will direct the 1944-set play, which has not yet been cast. Judd Hirsch played the part of Matt Friedman, a Jewish lawyer, in the original production, opposite Trish Hawkins, who played his reluctant Protestant paramour Sally Talley.

Lanfo rd Wilson, who died last year, will also be represented Off Broadway this season with a production of “The Mound Builders” at the Signature Theater Company.
