The high-testosterone crucible of David Mamet's âGlengarry Glen Rossâ continues to add to its roster of prominent possessors of Y chromosomes for a coming Broadway revival. John C. McGinley, who played the acid-tongued Dr. Perry Cox on the NBC comedy âScrubsâ and the tough-as-nails Sergeant O'Neill in Oliver Stone's Vietnam War drama, âPlatoon,â will play the embittered real estate salesman Dave Moss in the âGlengarryâ revival, its producers said on Monday.
Mr. McGinley, who has not performed on Broadway since making his debut in a 1985 production of âRequiem for a Heavyweight,â joins a formidable cast that also includes Bobby Cannavale as the office hotshot Ricky Roma and Al Pacino as the once-great salesman Levene; as well as David Harbour, Richard Schiff and Jeremy Shamos.
âGlengarry Glen Rossâ will be directed by Daniel Sullivan and is to begin previews at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theater on Oc t. 16. Its opening night set for Nov. 11.
