John C. McGinley Joins \'Glengarry Glen Ross\' Revival on Broadway

By DAVE ITZKOFF

The high-testosterone crucible of David Mamet's “Glengarry Glen Ross” continues to add to its roster of prominent possessors of Y chromosomes for a coming Broadway revival. John C. McGinley, who played the acid-tongued Dr. Perry Cox on the NBC comedy “Scrubs” and the tough-as-nails Sergeant O'Neill in Oliver Stone's Vietnam War drama, “Platoon,” will play the embittered real estate salesman Dave Moss in the “Glengarry” revival, its producers said on Monday.

Mr. McGinley, who has not performed on Broadway since making his debut in a 1985 production of “Requiem for a Heavyweight,” joins a formidable cast that also includes Bobby Cannavale as the office hotshot Ricky Roma and Al Pacino as the once-great salesman Levene; as well as David Harbour, Richard Schiff and Jeremy Shamos.

“Glengarry Glen Ross” will be directed by Daniel Sullivan and is to begin previews at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theater on Oc t. 16. Its opening night set for Nov. 11.
