A six-hour adaptation of two of Hilary Mantel's novels, âWolf Hallâ and its sequel, âBring Up the Bodies,â will come to television in late 2013, BBC Two has announced. âWolf Hall,â a historical novel set during the reign of King Henry VIII, won the Man Booker Prize for Fiction in 2009. Peter Straughan, who wrote the screenplay for the 2011 movie version of âTinker Tailor Soldier Spy,â will adapt the Mantel novels for television.
Janice Hadlow, a BBC Two executive, told The Guardian that the books were âright in the cross hairs of what BBC Two viewers will enjoy.â
