J.K. Rowling is coming to America to promote her first novel for adults, “The Casual Vacancy,†her publisher has announced. Ms. Rowling will appear at one public event, an on-stage interview at Jazz at Lincoln Center with the author Ann Patchett on Oct. 16. She will also take questions from the audience and sign copies of her book for audience members. Tickets go on sale Sept. 10, starting at $37, a price that includes a copy of the book.
“The Casual Vacancy,†described by the publisher as “a big novel about a small town,†will be released on Sept. 27 by Little, Brown and Company.
