Yoga mats, Beethoven, stories from life in America and Mary Shelley's âFrankensteinâ all serve as fodder for offerings this season at The Kitchen performance and exhibition space, which released highlights of its program, which runs from Sept. 7 â" Dec. 22.
âY? O! Gâ¦Aâ is an exhibit by Matt Keegan and Eileen Quinlan that employs yoga mats. Neither artists practices yoga, press materials pointed out. DD Dorvillier choreographed âDanza Permanenteâ by transposing the music of a Beethoven string quartet into the unaccompanied movement of four dancers. âSynth Nights,â a new series of live electronic music, is also on the lineup.
A theater piece by Richard Maxwell, âNeutral Hero,â concerns a man's search for his father âin the American landscapeâ as told by 12 people, The Kitchen said.
