Randy Blythe, the lead singer of the American metal band Lamb of God, was released on bail from a Czech jail on Thursday a month after he was a arrested for manslaughter, the Associated Press reported. Mr. Blythe, 41, posted $400,000 bond and left Prague for the United States on Friday, said his Czech lawyer, Martin Radvan.
The police say Mr. Blythe pushed a fan who jumped onto stage at a 2010 concert in Prague, causing him to fall backward and hit his head. The fan later died.  The singer was arrested on June 27 when the Virginia-based band returned to Prague for a show.
He was kept in jail for a month, as the courts considered arguments from prosecutors that Mr. Blythe would would flee the country if he were released on bond. But a spokeswoman for Prague's municipal court, Martina Lhotakova, said the way was finally cleared for Mr. Blythe's release on Thursday when a judge upheld a lower court decision that he could not be denied bail.
