The theater company Fishamble, the singer Wallis Bird and an exhibition of works by the painter Colette Murphy are among the fall-season offerings announced by the Irish Arts Center.
The Irish troupe Fishamble (âNoah and the Tower Flowerâ) will return to New York with âSilent,â a play, written and performed by Pat Kinevane (âForgottenâ), about a homeless man in Dublin. Musical offerings include performances by the singers Mundy, Anthony Mulcahy, Niall Connolly and the Irish composer MÃcheal O Suilleabhain. The center will feature an exhibition by Ms. Murphy, an artist, according to a news release, âwhose paintings of chaotic seas and floating icebergs explore the journeys made by Irish emigrants to America.â Darrah Carr Dance, with the choreographer Sean Curran, will present a program of modern dance and traditional Irish step. Other events include a film tribute to the Irish novelist Bram Stoker, the auth or of âDracula,â and a series of talks exploring the links between Irish-Americans and African-Americans.
